Portage is designed as a local transfer utility. The Mac app reads media from a cabled iPhone and writes files to the destination folder you choose. The iPhone app follows the same local-storage model with a connected drive.

The apps do not require an account, Photos cloud login, or remote media upload. Diagnostic logs stay on your device unless you choose to share them.

Portage uses Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat to unlock Portage Pro. Purchase history and a per-install app user ID are processed for entitlement checks, purchase restore, fraud prevention, and purchase analytics. Portage does not use this data for advertising or tracking.

The website may collect standard server logs from Cloudflare, including IP address, user agent, request path, and timing metadata needed to serve and protect the site.
